Corporations are and will remain the dominant mechanism for organizing our society. 

Corporations have the tallest buildings in most cities around the world, control most of the wealth, and have the largest number of people working in them, or at least in the developed world. 

So, it occurred to me that if I could come up with something that furthered their aims … help them make more profit, deepen relationships with customers, and create a culture of high-performing teams … this would also speed the broader diffusion of Gratitude.

I could achieve a much larger impact, on faster timescale, and in a more enduring manner.

So, I knew that would bring Gratitude to the workplace, enabling them to make more money, retain profitable customers, and create a culture of performance and gratitude.
